Returning in 2026: Take-off for TWO trucks on Food Truck Friday!\nBack by popular demand and implementing feedback\, Waukesha County Airport/Crites Field will host THREE food trucks each Friday\, May 29th through September 4th from 11:00 am to 1:30 pm\, on the east side of the Terminal Building\, 2525 Aviation Drive. \nWaukesha County Airport will kickoff its first Food Truck Friday of the season on Friday\, May 29th\, 11 am-1:30 pm. This is a free-entry family-friendly event hosted outside the airport terminal building inside the Waukesha County Airport at 2525 Aviation Drive. First featured food trucks this season are Double B’s BBQ and Clean Cuisine and Rose Mob Grill. \nAttractions include food trucks\, airplanes\, listening to the air traffic control tower\, music and fundraising for local non-profit organizations. A portion of food truck sales will go to the non-profit organization of the day. Come support these organizations in our community and enjoy your favorite food truck eats while plane spotting. \nThey encourage take-out. Seating can be limited\, so if you are going to stay\, consider bringing your own blanket and/or lawn chairs if you choose to eat on site. \n***The line can get long\, so please prepare to wait in line to order your meal and to wait for your meal to be made. However\, watching the planes come and go is amazing. DESCRIPTION:The Oconomowoc Area Chamber of Commerce along with their Presenting Sponsor\, Waukesha State Bank and Kids’ Fun Run Sponsor\, Roger’s Memorial Hospital invite you to join in for the Yellow Brick Road 5K Run/Walk and Kids’ Fun Run. They welcome runners and walkers of all ages and abilities. The race will be managed by Oconomowoc’s awesome race organizer\, Silver Circle Sports Event\, LLC. Enjoy our chip-timed event on a closed course through beautiful Oconomowoc. \nFirst organized in 2006\, this family friendly event has grown to be one of the most popular events of its kind in the Lake Country area attracting hundreds of participants of all ages each year. Why do they hold a race with a Wizard of Oz theme?  It is because the world premier of the Wizard of Oz was held at Oconomowoc’s Strand Theater on August 12\, 1939! \nAgain in 2026: The start and finish lines are downtown in front of Oz Plaza! \nCOURSE\nThe course starts downtown at the Village Green Park overlooking Fowler Lake. Runners follow the isthmus between Fowler Lake & Lake Lac La Belle before entering a neighborhood for a quick lap before returning to the Village Green. \nParticipants will take a beautiful summer run starting at the Village Green Park overlooking Fowler Lake.
