Please bring a blanket to sit on. \nCaregivers required. \nOutside weather permitting; inside if necessary. \nFridays from June 12-August 7. No Family Time on Friday\, July 3. \n  \nAbout the Brookfield Library: \nThe Brookfield Public Library is established under the authority of the Wisconsin Statues\, Chapter 43. A nine-member Board of Trustees\, appointed by the Mayor\, governs the Library. The Brookfield Public Library is a contractual member of the Bridges Library System. \nThe library serves the needs of a broad spectrum of the community that includes: parents of young children\, home-schoolers\, youth through seniors\, retired adults\, book clubs\, the homebound\, civic organizations\, newcomers\, businesses\, consumers\, investors\, independent study\, job-seekers\, students at all age levels\, city officials and departments\, educators and schools\, and other libraries and communities. \nVision \nWe support the vision and mission of the City of Brookfield by striving to provide the community with resources which meet their educational\, informational\, professional and recreational needs. The Library envisions a future where all individuals and families are lifelong learners. \nMission \nThe Library is an essential community resource that seeks to preserve yesterday\, inform today and inspire tomorrow. \nValues \n\nThe Brookfield Public Library is committed to quality library service. Staff is enthusiastically committed to assisting library users to find\, use and evaluate information resources. They strive to meet the demand for popular materials\, and to ensure that use of the library facility is a pleasant experience. All users are served equally and fairly.\nThe Brookfield Public Library is committed to intellectual freedom and the need for the library’s collections to represent many different points of view. They have a beautiful garden to enjoy stories and songs. \n\nAbout: \n\nMission Statement\n\nOur mission is to provide diverse and popular reading materials and personalized service to our public\, and to foster children’s appreciation for reading and learning. \nWe are a full-service library that emphasizes friendly\, helpful assistance to its users. The library is open 7 days a week year-round and has a collection of over 60\,000 volumes with an annual circulation of 180\,000 items. Trained reference staff are available to help you at all times. Regular programs for adults\, teens\, preschool and grade school children are held throughout the year.
