2023 Tribute Tuesday Concerts Line Up

June Tribute

Tuesday, June 13, 2023 7:00 – 9:00 pm

Rok Brigade: Experience the Music of Def Leppard

Kicking off the Tribute Tuesday concert series this summer is Rok Brigade with the music of Def Leppard on June 13, 2023.

Rok Brigade is a Def Leppard tribute band formed in the summer of 2018 when six friends, all in well-established working cover bands in the Chicago area came together to pay tribute to one of the most dominant party rock bands of the 1980s. They wanted to cover their favorite songs from the band’s extensive catalog, focusing primarily on the first six albums. Def Leppard’s infectious melodies, heavy guitars, pounding drums and layered harmonies combine perfectly to give us some of the greatest rock anthems of all time! Big stage props, a dazzling light show, and extra ramps & risers all bring authenticity to the show. Reproducing this live convincingly with great sound, look and energy is what makes Rok Brigade one of the best Def Leppard tribute bands today. Rock with Rok Brigade!

Introducing the perfect gal to tackle one of the biggest country and pop music sensations of our time, Sammy Jo! From a young age Sammy soon picked up the guitar and began playing, starting with her young musical idol, Taylor Swift. One of Sammy Jo’s first song ever performed in public was the T. Swift smash hit “Teardrops on My Guitar”. She quickly fell in love with Taylor’s incredible song writing and story telling abilities. After many years of playing many of here favorite songs in coffee houses, at weddings, and for special events, she took her talent to the next level as professional country band, Summer Son’s lead vocalist. Now Sammy Jo is ready to pay tribute in true adoration of one of the best catalogs and talents in modern music by fronting Sparks Fly – The Taylor Swift Experience!

August Tribute

Tuesday, August 8, 2023 7:00 – 9:00 pm

Ants Marching

“Where Are You Going” but to Cutler Park on August 8 for Tribute Tuesday when Ants Marching takes center stage at the Les Paul Performance Center with their tribute to the Dave Matthews Band! Food and beverage concessions will open at 5:30 p.m. with the concert taking place from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The Tribute Tuesday concert series is generously presented by Meijer and the August concert is sponsored by INNIO’s Waukesha Engine. Check back next week to see who will headline September’s Tribute Tuesday!

WAMI award nominated, Ants Marching, decided to form a tribute band in 2016 after realizing how much of a demand there is out there for that live Dave Matthews Band experience! It is a rare thing when a band can pay tribute to an artist and emulate the musicianship and style of the original. Ants Marching brings the energy, the sound, the lights, and the atmosphere of one of the largest touring production out there, and makes it available up close and personal on a smaller scale!

September Tribute

Gimme Skynard

“Tuesday’s Gone.” Wait, what? The final Tribute Tuesday concert of the 2023 season is September 12 and you won’t want to miss Gimme Skynyrd and their tribute to the great Lynyrd Skynyrd.

It is six musicians dedicated to putting on a show that will remind you of a time when rock music spoke directly to your soul. You will hear all the Skynyrd songs you know (and a few album cuts), but get ready for some Marshall Tucker, Molly Hatchet, Allman Brothers, ZZ Top, Blackfoot and even some current artists that carry on the Southern Rock tradition.
