two hundred Green and The Residence at Foxtown
By: Ann Kaiser
Located at the corner of Green Bay Road and Riverview Drive in the picturesque village of Thiensville,Wisconsin, two hundred Green comprises an appealing new community of 16 single-family homes. These well-planned, attractively designed homes are built by Mequon’s Lakeside Development, and offer residents the benefits of a walkable community in a desirable suburban location.
Lakeside Development successfully conceptualized and developed Mequon’s The Residence at Foxtown, located about 1.5 miles from two hundred Green. The two developments offer homeowners a similar appealing blend of high-quality homes in an attractive, welcoming community setting. While The Residence at Foxtown captures a bit more of an urban sensibility in its design and location, two hundred Green “feels more like a traditional neighborhood,” according to Kyle Zabjek, Real Estate and Account Manager at Lakeside Development.
“Two hundred Green and The Residence at Foxtown are a new concept for the Mequon-Thiensville area,” Zabjek explained. Lakeside Development owners had visited an Illinois neighborhood where a similar concept was being implemented and used that community as an inspiration for the two developments here in the Mequon-Thiensville area.
The partners from Lakeside Development who envisioned two hundred Green selected an area that previously housed an M&I Bank. After the former bank building remained vacant for several years, Lakeside Development moved forward with their vision to improve the space. Zabjek explained: “With the popularity and excitement that was going on at Foxtown, the thought was that with the right support and shared excitement from the Village of Thiensville, the space could be best utilized as a similar development.”
Each of the welcoming 2,000 square foot “pocket homes” in two hundred Green offers a 3,100 square foot lot; a HOA provides upkeep of the lawns as well as snow removal services in wintertime, ideal for those wishing to simplify their home upkeep routines. Blaze Landscaping provides “design and implementation” of the homes’ full landscaping, according to Zabjek. Weekly maintenance of the grounds, as well as snow removal, is provided by Sharper Image.
Shared pathways between each of the two hundred Green homes create additional opportunities for connection among neighbors. Zabjek also noted that “several of the homes along Green Bay Road have retaining walls, steppers, arbors and benches.” These special features add to the unique appeal of the homes and their welcoming, residential quality.
Homeowners will appreciate the appealing design and high-quality construction of the homes at two hundred Green. Two floor plans are available; owners can select from either a first or second floor primary suite. Each home also includes 2.5 baths and two additional bedrooms. According to Zabjek, the homes’ interiors feature “an open floor plan with ten-foot ceilings throughout the first floor as well as trayed ceilings on the second floor.”
Lakeside Development offers several options for owners to fully customize aspects of both the interior and exterior of their selected home in this pleasant neighborhood. A patio or deck can be added to the side of the homes’ exteriors. “The basement can also be built out to include an additional bedroom, bath and recreation room or any combination [of these]. Although [the] overall floor plan remains the same, it has been exciting to see how buyers customize each home to their individual preferences…Homes are constructed with Lakeside Development quality features throughout,” Zabjek noted.
With a goal of creating a community accessible by walking and amenable to nurturingneighborly relations, Lakeside Development mindfully designed the homes with large, welcoming front porches. “The proximity of the homes to each other, along with an inviting front porch, creates an environment to get to know your neighbors and create an overall sense of community,” Kyle Zabjek noted.
Two hundred Green’s location also facilitates opportunities for residents to explore the surrounding community. Zabjek explained, “Thiensville is a very walkable community. The Village Park, which is home to the weekly farmer’s market and Thiensville’s downtown is also within walking distance from where you will find restaurants, coffee shops, boutique stores and other retail conveniences.”
Two hundred Green, like The Residence at Foxtown, has been well-received by new homeowners and the surrounding community. Zabjek praised Lakeside Development’s Project Manager Josh Reinheimer’s “exceptional attention to detail,” and added that the new homeowners “seem to really like the area and enjoyed the building process.”
“Lakeside Development has a decades-long reputation for excellence in the community and surrounding areas,” Zabjek said. “Although typically known for custom homes, Lakeside saw an opportunity to create something new and unique in the Mequon-Thiensville area. We are so excited that the concept has been well received,” Zabjek concluded.
