Bluegrass at The Village

This year, the Ozaukee County Historical Society is excited to bring several new bands to the lineup this year. The Piper Road Spring Band is doing a 50th Anniversary Tour and will be starting us off. They have been a festival favorite for decades and are masters of the bluegrass tradition. Stillhouse Junkies from Durango Colorado will be this year’s featured band. All three band members trade lead vocals, songwriting, and arranging duties. The Stillhouse Junkies blend genres of blues, bluegrass and swing to provide a sound uniquely of their own. Always popular and back by demand, Pickin’ Up Speed will perform their favorite traditional tunes. Fox Crossing String Band from Chicago will take the stage next. This all-female group is known for their beautiful harmonies and entertaining stage presence. All the bands form a nice variety of energy and sounds. As always, fundraising raffles, vendors, craft beers and great food!
