Merton Memorial Day Parade

A Memorial Day parade and ceremony is sponsored by the Merton Fire Department and village of Merton on Monday, May 29, 2023. The parade begins at 10:00 am and travels from Fireman’s Park down Main Street to the Fire Department. A brief ceremony will follow.
Prior to the official parade, all boys and girls wishing to decorate and ride their NON-MOTORIZED bikes or scooters in the 2022 Merton Community Memorial Day parade are asked to meet at the corner of Trowbridge Trail and Main Street in Merton. Report by 9:30 am to participate and organize. Bikers will be judged at 9:30 am by the Merton Village Board spouses. Categories are:
- Most Patriotic
Following the contest judging that happens PROMPTLY at 9:30 am, all bikes will be lined up for the parade. Parents are welcome to assist young children as they ride through the parade.
There will be 2 age groups:
- Up to 6 years old
- Ages 7 and up
