Scary Bloody Mary Walk 2023

Dress in costume (or not) and walk historic downtown Cedarburg to visit five bars who are competing for the title of Best Bloody Mary! This event benefits Cedarburg Friends of Parks & Recreation and surfacing the playground at Cedar Creek Park.

There are 13 sponsor bars that will compete for the title Best Bloody Mary, while participants compete for Best Costume (Prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place). After participants visit 5 participating sponsor bars they will vote for the Best Bloody Mary using the ballot you receive at check in. You can turn your ballot in at any of the participating sponsor bars. Voting ends at 3:00. Best Costume will be determined by community members and participants on our Cedarburg Friends of Parks and Recreation Facebook page.

• Pre-check in for Saturday’s event is available to help save time and get you out on the streets faster on Saturday. Pre-check in is available 10/20 at the Cedarburg Community Gym from 4-6pm. ALL TICKET HOLDERS must individually check in during pre-check in on 10/20 or on Saturday 10/21 to ensure verification of age (21+). Our photographer will only be available on 10/21.
• Check-in Starts on Saturday at 10:30am, ends at 12pm
• Where: Community Center Gym @ W63N641 Washington Avenue, Cedarburg
• Age: You must be 21 years of age or older to participate
• Ticket Price $49 each (plus Eventbrite handling fees)
• Ticket sales end 10/16 or once all tickets are sold.

Please include a valid email address for every ticket purchased so every registered participant receives event updates.

This year we will be giving away T-shirts as a swag item. If you would like a t-shirt, please purchase tickets by 9/01/2023. Please note, tickets purchased after 9/01/2023 are not guaranteed a T-shirt.

This year you may choose any 5 participating sponsor bars in any order. You DO NOT need to choose prior to the event.

Please note: unfortunately, a rotten apple can spoil the whole bunch; therefore, to protect this event for the majority of our participants, we will not tolerate disruptive and/or intoxicated participants. Restaurants/bars reserve the right to refuse service. Please be extra mindful that some of the participating establishments are indeed restaurants with participating bars inside. Be respectful.

The morning of the event on October 21, bring your ticket confirmation (either on phone or printed out) and your Government Issued ID to check-in. Once you have checked in, you will receive your vouchers to get one Bloody Mary at five sponsor bars, a goodie bag, a map of the area and a wristband to show you’ve been carded.

If you would like to be in the Costume Contest, visit the photographer in the Community Gym. You will get your picture taken by our photographer. You can go as a group or individually. There will only be one First, Second and Third Best Costume. The costume voting will take place on our Cedarburg Friends of Parks and Recreation Facebook page. The community and participants will be able to vote for their favorite costume. The Costume Contest winners will be announced on our Facebook page on October 28th.

All registered participants can get entered in our annual capture the spirit award! Capture the spirit of the event and add your own pictures to Facebook adding #scarybloodymarywalk by Monday, October 23 at 12pm CST. All #scarybloodymary uploads will have the chance to win the $50 Olsen’s Piggly Wiggly gift card!

*All participants of our photo contest must be valid SBMW ticket holders.

*The winners will be contacted by Cedarburg Friends of Parks and Recreation by direct message on Facebook.

*Please note, Scary Bloody Mary Walk has the right to use any and all images submitted for future event advertising.

If you are a designated driver, we will give you a special wristband for one free soda at each of the five sponsor bars. We trust you will not drink any alcohol. Participants who paid for a ticket can also request Virgin Marys.

Please be patient and courteous and remember to tip your bartenders. They will be working hard to make you the Best Bloody Mary ever!
